    most cookers now come without a handle in the grill pan, grill pans nowadays are bigger and people were getting burned with hot grease when pans tilted because of weight etc so they were discontinued, use a glove instead.

    Hah, is that why?! I did wonder, kind of assumed it was just to cut costs by a few cents.
