Looking at a 162 f10 520d m sport on main dealer website. Has c. 5k miles. Advertised as price new was 64k.

The g30 520d m sport is low 50s after the 9% deduction. So adding back the 9% the car is still under 60k. Adding delivery charge still under 60k.

The f10 advertised has metallic but and 19" alloys but beyond that im not seeing what eould be extras that would push the price up to 64k new.

Maybe im missing the options, but 64k for an f10 520d m sport. Did they really cost that much new?

Maybe it has m sport plus pack pro nav etc.?
19” alloys on their own were 1500 euro

Yes, especially once you start adding in options like sport plus (widescreen nav, stereo upgrade etc).

No mention of m sport plus pack, what did that include?

Car has the more basic sat nav (business advanved with the narrow screen versus prp nav with wide screen). No mention of harmon kardon sound either.

Car has sport paddles auto box, heated front seats, leather interior and xenon lights/fogs with park distance control. I thought all of the above was standard on the f10, in 162 at least.

64k just sounds like a lot without a host of optuins ticked. Would that not have bought a 530d in m sport, and was the 535d not a sub 70k car brand new?

I understand the 19alloys costing 1.5 but even allowing the same for metallic and delivery thats 4.5k. Which woukd put the list of an f10 520d m sport at 60k?

New g30 is less than that.

That g30 is beautiful, is there not vat and vrt since its delivery mileage only?

I bought a 530D with all the options listed above last year, they printed out the original order and it came to 68K

How much is the main dealer charging?

According to their trade in values it should be about 65% of base model price forget any extras.

I know if I brought that car to them they would be telling me it's worth 25k to them.

But I bet they are trying to sell it for 50k.

At this price level, off to the UK with you.

pricelist from previous year and wouldn't have been any major change so looks like dealer is optimistic as m sport less than 55k on the road.

Main dealers are the same as the likes of Harvey Norman and Curry's telling you that it originally cost x amount and is now at a reduced y amount. Everyone knows it never sold for x amount to begin with.

Main dealer would never tell untruths surely...

    never, lol.

Thanks for the price list. 55k sounds more like it, so +1k for delivery, metallic and 1.5k for 19" alloys and its a 60k car before any discount.

    Car is f10 not g30, 162 in nov 17 and asking 42k.

G30 520d m sport is now asking 53,585 (sterling value) so realistically whats a fair price for the 162 f10? Could order a 181 g30 and woth delivery preaumably drive it away for 55k.

Id be thinking closer to 35k for the old model, 162?

Murphy and gunn have a 162 for just under 40k. Much better spec than the basic model your looking at.

That's fantastic value Wailin. Nice car. Knock a grand or 2 off that no problem too. It's practically brand new.

That looks gorgeous, and some nice extras as well. Shame it's only a 520d (I prefer my BMWs to have six cylinders) but it's still a lovely car.

Must be a UK car the Speedo is in miles. Can Irish cars have that?

Yep, only thing it's lacking really is the m sport plus package (rear spoiler, 19" wheels, upgraded sound system).

Lovely car. Out of interest how much would the VRT on that be and can the dials etc be changed from miles to KMs?

If spending that much cash, it's a no brainer to buy a G30 from the UK!

    171 G30 520d M Sport
    http://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/vehicle/201710300772490?quoteref=d70ad18d-75d8-4be4-9733-8ee83abf874c
    €33500 + €7500 VRT = €41k

If I were you, I'd wait until January to buy as VRT will go down.

Would agree with last poster unless you have a trade in you need to do.
F10 still overpriced here in Bmw dealers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 142 ✭✭KFed

Looked at a 2015 uk 5. Has pro nav, harmon kardon sound and 19" alloys. 20k gbp or c. 22k euro. Vrt is 5.5k so 27.5k all in for spec i want. Car has 30k miles.

So way i see it, buy 162here for c. 40k asking and its worth c. 27.5k in a year.

I think that supports the asking on f10 being somewhat overpriced still.

Is there vat due as well as v.r.t. on a nearly new g30 from uk?

Only if it's <6 months old or sub 6k kms.
