    Hi,

We recently moved back to Ireland and we are researching Broadband providers for our house. We are only interested in having the Irish Channels (TG4 in particular), at least for now.

Can soarview work via broadband only or would we have to connect a soarview box to the aerial socket? Its easier to position the tv in a room when the channels are sent over wifi.

At the moment I'm thinking maybe a smart tv might be the best option where we simply access the channels via the internet.

What options do we have in this regard without getting an expensive package? We live outside Mountmellick.

    Thanks,

    Barry

You need an aerial pointed to Kippure to receive Saorview. Most modern TVs have a digital tuner built-in, so you shouldn't need an extra box. I wouldn't assume that a smart TV will be able to run the Irish channel players - you need to check each model. My Panasonic for instance only has TG4 player.
