I am fairly new to EVs, but obviously the 0% BIK rate has sparked some enthusiasm.
I read that ESB provides free home charge point installations, but the form asks you for info about the SEAI grant for the EV.
As a compnay car driver you don't apply for the grant, it is the lease company, I presume ..

So, how do company car drivers get a home charge point ?

The free chargers from the ESB are as good as gone. They agreed to continue for new cars only until the end of 2017.

There will be a new grant scheme announced in the new year for new and secondhand cars. At this stage, unless you have a new car ordered for 172, its the grant scheme you will need to know about and that is not yet fully tied down and announced.

It will likely be tied to your home address or electricity MPRN number or something like that but as I said, its not yet announced how it will be run but it will be run by the SEAI so keep an eye on their website for details.
