Gaming headset for iPad

    Hi Folks,

    Looking for a set of cans with a big microphone for the father in law. He watches a lot of golf on the ipad and facetimes his daughters and other relatives around the world.

    Anyway - a friend facetimed him using a large set of gaming headphones with a stick out mic and he was blown away by the sound quality as compared to standard in line mics.

    But I know that apple have issues with headphones and mics and compatability. Does anyone use a large headphones/mic combo with their ios device?

    Would you recommend it?
