We (or should I say I as I normally apply online) have just realised the SFP was not applied for earlier in the year.

    Do we have any options?

The system is a disaster . Can see how it can happen. No email or notification to say you have successfully applied. I'm certain a lot have been caught out.

If it were me I’d ring em and ask why not been paid and put the blame on the system if they say you didn’t complete it. Tell em you competed it online and that it’s their fault. Probably worth a try.

I think this is a very good suggestion. I've had IT issues with them before. The systems they use are constantly problematic. Good luck.

Look the only thing that's the end of the world is the end of the world. Now do as the post above says. Admit nothing and hold fast. If no good contact your local td.

You have applied every year and this year has been no different. It's up them to be 100% sure that you didn't apply. Plus no IT system is perfect.

I usually get a text or they ring if I make a mistake with the online application surely they'd let you know if you didn't apply.

I wouldn't be lying! I am convinced I applied. I got a bad feeling that there is going to be a "computer says no".

Typical of how the state treats its Citizens. They should have contacted you to say you hadn't applied this year.

Don't worry about it OP. I don't get a SFP and I'm still alive!

i'v fell foul of the live stock units over the 7 months by minute amount but my wife took a stroke back in march which did not help.
Have got my Teagasc advisor to write to them i supplied letters from specialists on her condition throwing myself at there mercy i'm hoping it helps me.
I wish you luck with this.

Just checking what I've missed over the last 6 weeks
Local IFA office will help you to appeal, a local forgot it till july and got sorted.
Always check the status of your application a couple weeks after submitting online, to err is human but to make a complete cock up requires a computer. I earned two inspections because my online sheep census didn't process in 2016

You wouldn't think it would be too much hassle for the system to email you confirmation of receipt of application (with summary details of whats been applied for) ...so you wouldnt have that semi regular heart in mouth moment wondering if you did apply properly.

in the direct payments section select correspondance

    then select my correspondance

select the year from the dropdown menu

highlight the bulletpoint and click view and it'll show the parcels/anc etc applied for

i think there is an option to print off/email your application when its complete

Did you save a screenshot or make any parcel changes? You could try appealing it OP.

Just an update on my situation called into Teagasc advisor to day he told me that they will wait to year end before assessing your stocking rate over the 12 month's and then making a decision on whether you get it or not.
Got the rest of the greening today.

Great news. It's great to see the Dept have compassion. They get a fair bit of stick at times. I often wounder where all this stick comes from...i have a feeling it's from the chancers.
Any dealings I ever had with them was a good experience.

Well I've had a few, mostly around transferring entitlements after the BOSS man passed. You'd do exactly what they told you to do and then they'd turn around and tell you that you did it arseways.
Getting onto the local TD was the only thing that made them get their ass in gear. It's amazing how something is impossible for them to do today and tomorrow tis sorted no problem.
I've come accross some fierce sound skins their as Well tbf. Like every where else i suppose, there carrying a bit of dead weight.

    +1
Yea, A lot of the delays are due to farmers, more than is realised....and they would't n't keep a copy of anything or record either, mistakes in applications is what slows it up......unnecessary manhours dealing with them.
