Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Family holiday Italy

    We are thinking of heading to Italy next June with our 13yr old son. We enjoy city breaks and prefer sightseeing to beach holidays.

    I have no idea where to start, I've been to Rome before and wouldn't mind going back.

    Can anyone recommend booking sites / hotels / campsites it would be great.

    We've never really done a sun holiday so have no idea where to start!

    Lots of campsites & mobile home parks along the Lido di Jesolo which is just outside Venice. Bus runs to the end of the Lido where you can get public ferries to Venice or tour ferries that do a circuit of all the islands in the lagoon.

    In the other direction is the resort town of Jeselo.

    Trains easily accessible from the larger towns or from Venice if you want to explore further afield.
