Mazda 3 08 new tyres.

As the title say just got the hatchback Mazda 3 2008. It has 4 triangle brand 928's Tyres on it and they are not balanced at all..... Steering wheel shakes when I go up to 100km and there is a good bit of vibration in the cabin.

Need some suggestions for a decent/good set of new tyres for the car. They are 195/65/R15. Budget maybe up to 300 if it's a good set mainly short drives but the occasional country drive. Based in south Dublin

You should be able to get a set of Bridgestone Turanzas within your budget. They’re a very good tyre, West well and quiet with good all round grip.

You could however simply go and get your own wheels balanced. If balancing doesn’t take the wobble out of the steering then the wheels/tyres are not the problem.

Triangle tyres would be low budget tyres but for your use they’d do fine.

You should get most of the bigger brand names for your budget. A general rule of thumb is if you don't recognise the brand name, dont put them on your car.

I don’t buy into this idea that urban drivers don’t need good tyres.

Oh yeah 100% agree. The triangles are going they are fairly warn already but above the indicator. Any places in south Dublin people recommend to go for either buying and fitting or fitting of tyres I buy online.?

Ring around. I got bridgestones in that size for €55 in limerick. Had to ring a few places to get that price.

I can personally vouch for Kumho Ecsta Ku39, Hankook Venus V12's and my current Michelin Pilot Sport 4's all fantastic tyres with the PS4's being the best I've used. Kumho Ecsta are a fantastic cheap tyre.

Sorry I misunderstood the title, I thought the current tyres were new.

That's a great price. Budget tires aren't going to be much less than that.

Got them for the i30 as the 17s it came with were a disaster on bad roads.
Friend called him there last week for an FRV and he wanted €75. Same size.

I'd avoid the Hankook Kinergy Eco, they're absolute crap in the wet and even locked up on me in the dry without slamming the brakes. This was on 195/65 R15. If you're ever on the motorway and your lane suddenly slows down where you have to be firm on the brakes, but not slam them, they'd likely lock up.

OPs car will have ABS but that’s not good!

Out of those I'd be chosing the Continentals or the Goodyear EfficentGrips.
