Zone heating and back boiler issues

Hi looking for some help please....

We have oil fired boiler system with multi (4) zoned controls i.e. upstairs *2, spare rooms downstairs and water.

We also have a solid fuel stove with back boiler that heats rads downstairs only and water

Our problem is this has never worked properly- sometimes I loos the heating downstairs but have heating upstairs and other zones and hot water. I have replaces all motorised valves at least twice at this stage
The stove heats the hot water fine but only warms the rads downstairs. second floor rads always have air in them, consonantly bleeding them. recently I have knocking in the pipes so I think more vales are burnt out.

Any ideas on what might be behind this, I am close to removing the zones but with a large house this will cost a fortune to heat.

    Thanks

If it suited get a plumber who's well up on stoves to fit a heat genie from systemlink (I think that's the product) I think the oil and stove are fed into a heat exchanger and there's little to go wrong with them regarding moving parts. Some say it's a better system than motorised valves. Some plumbers out there would be able to give what I've written the green or red light.
