Broadband in West Cork

    Hi all,

I would very much appreciate it if someone could advise me on the best broadband available in West Cork.

At the moment, we have Rapid Broadband in our house and I'm finding it incredibly frustrating. The speed is very slow and it keeps cutting out. I don't use it for anything like videos/ movies but I know other people in my household do.

I've heard Rural Forge has coverage in my area and I was wondering if anyone could tell me of their experience with it?

I know eir fibre doesn't work in my area.

Any advice at all would mean a lot to me.

    Thank you in advance.

Enter your Eircode on the following two pages and post the results:

'Eircode is in the AMBER AREA
Your premises is in an area that is not considered commercial by operators. This area will be covered under the State Intervention of the National Broadband Plan.'

It's not looking good is it?...

That is unfortunate. I was hoping that you may be covered under eir's current fibre rollout. I'm not familiar with the area so I cannot advise you about what local operators may be available. You could check the Ireland Offline map which might give you some more information.

When I checked the map, Eir's fibre is in all the surrounding small villages & towns except in my village :(

Thank you very much for trying to help me.

    Hi all,

Can I ask what people think about the service Rapid broadband provides. Is it dependable?

    Thanks
