Hi everyone, could someone please explain to me the difference in the above and when either would be used? i.e. what is the advantage of using a preformed cavity tray as opposed to dpc roll cut to suit in particular for the heads of windows? I understand cavity trays used at abutments with roof / wall but what is the rule at windows... if anyone could give any advice much appreciated!

What’s there to explain. One is made off site, one is cut/ folded on site. The question is the saving worth it, that depends on how much you trust your builder, yourself and your arch
