How to secure frame over bulk head.

    Hi folks,

I have to install an ikea Kura high bed (https://goo.gl/images/aiQXJt ) a kids room over the attached bulkhead.

I know I am going to have to cut the two ‘top legs’ over the bulkhead and rest them on some sort of frame.

One side of the frame can stand on the floor beside the bulkhead. But I am unsure of how to attach the frame to the exterior wall over the bulkhead. There isn’t a stud in the corner of the room. I was thinking of using framefixers to attach a plank but that seems messy.

Any advice here? Can’t find any guides or advice online.

    Thanks v much

    Quad

Build up a box frame over the head make sure to use appropriate fixings for the given wall. E.g. Frame for blockwork and Plasterboard fixings for plasterboard.

Then attach bed to that box frame.

Needs a box frame as its a kids bed and kids do like to jump around etc. I wouldn't just hang off wall.
