dell have 15% off at the moment (ends 27th nov)

    http://www.dell.com/en-ie/shop/laptops/inspiron-15-5000/spd/inspiron-15-5570-laptop?view=configurations

so take 15% off those prices.

the i5 cpu in the dells is 4-core vs older 2-core in the one you linked. real-world perf 50% better. so in this case well worth getting the latest cpu.
the dell also has a much better full hd (1080p) screen. also has faster ram.

so the one for 649 would be 551 for a much better laptop after 15% off

with the dell because it comes with a dvd drive that gives you the option to clip that out and add an ssd later. (easy to do).
cost about 60 euro for 128gb ssd and a holder for it to clip into dvd bay slot.

just one point - it's easier to swap to ssd before you have installed lots of programs on the hd.

just a point to keep in mind.

you'll want to put windows on the ssd if you get one. then just have your most used programs there too to get the benefits of the faster loading / writing. use the big hd for all other stuff.
