So Im 22 right now and Im finally starting to grow out of wearing tracksuit bottoms and football jerseys, little late to the party I know!

But Im absolutely useless at this sort of stuff, other than buying jeans I honestly dont know what else to get. I just want to dress a bit more smarter.

Any fashionistas here that could help me out? I have maybe 500 euro to spend which I know is feck all for getting decent clothes but even just for starters!

Incredibly expensive even with the 30% off though

I usually just google different styles and look at the images to collect a few I like.

I then go into the local shops and get similar outfits.

Find Pinterest is good too for seeing how others dress.

    What style appeals to you?

What celebrities dress the way you like?

Dude it's so easy. You're 22 so literally any style will suit. You should have a few different styles.

Just follow teachingmensfashion on youtube, he's young and dresses well.

I'd say €500 is enough if you're careful and know how to spend it. Try to make a rough budget as to how you are going to break the €500 down; the items you should set aside the most for are the shoes and, if you're going for one, the sports jacket/blazer. Definitely wait until after Xmas when all the best deals are available, unless you've started already.

Not to sound too condescending but the Blazer, Sports Jacket look has had its time. Its the go to outfit for the culchie now, coupled with a pair of brown shoes (Nothing wrong with culchies)
OP who or what do you want to look like, You say smarter but there are very different levels of smart. Do you want to blend in or stand out, relaxed smart or office smart. Dare I say it a safe place to start is River Island,Top man, Burton etc etc.
If you want to go for something different try skate shops online. 500 is loads

Not sure about skate shops. Need to be young looking and good looking to pull of that look as fashionable

Agree, no need for major changes at 22. Just lose the trackies for a pair of straight leg jeans and/or a pair of chinos and a mix of assorted slim fit t-shirts and casual dress shirts.

if you want to be the boring guy in the room yeah

Yeah I kinda agree, but to be fair very few people go from tracksuits to fashion conscious youngster overnight.

OP tell us who you think has a good look, impossible to tell otherwise as a lot of people would consider Jeans, shirt and blazer fashionable and smart and other wouldn't.
One thing I would say is don't for the love of god get shirts with different coloured cuffs and collar or 3 buttons on the collar.
