Argos sim free for use on Vodafone bill pay

Hi all Looking to buy an argos sim free phone. It's a present for someone currently on Vodafone bill pay. Wondering if I buy the phone from argos, will the sim currently being used in the old phone be able to be put straight into the argos phone and used straight away!?

yes, if the sim card sizes are the same.

worst case scenario they need a new size sim,& need to drop into vodafone shop to provision new sim.
