Bumper respray Dublin area

Wife had someone hit and scrape her front bumper earlier in the week...luckily the person was good enough to stay and give details. She brought the car to frank Keanes where she bought it (151 Golf) and got a ridiculous quote of €660. There's no damage, just needs a respray.

The guy is an elderly gentleman and I don't want to screw him over as he'd prefer to avoid using his insurance. Any recommendations on a good garage that will do a top notch job without stealing the eyeballs from your head?

Any mobile body repair service should be easily able to sort that type of damage.

Search face book for “smart repair” “dent scratch and fix” or even “dentpro”

What part of Dublin are you in ? Most places charge around 200 to spray a bumper. 660 is crazy

Is it just paint damage? If that’s all it is, that price is nuts. €250-€300 tops for a good job.

But if other bits are damaged, especially that front collision radar, then yes, it gets very expensive.

Just paint damage lads, scraped to the primer and only at the side not the front. It is a crazy price and i wouldn't give them the opportunity to blindly steal from someone even though we won't be paying ourselves. It needs to be done right though, car hasn't a mark on it apart from this.

Just remember, if the car is on PCP there's a clause that states all body work and paint work must be done by a VW authorised garage.

Yeah wouldn't affect us as the car is paid for but interesting tp know.
