Which Microsoft office suite for my laptop?

Buying Dell Inspiron 17 as recommended on this forum.
Option to add on Office 365, home, personal. I only need for basic things like word. Is personal enough? It’s €60 as opposed to €85 for Home? Also, can students avail of cheaper option of these? I’m not tech savvy at all ( obvious!) so not sure about all the Office options. Also, the price is €689 ( with Office personal) and says discount of €120 finishes today _ Pre Black Friday sale. Would you go with this or any chance better offer on Friday do you think?

you could just use a free program like libreoffice

layout very similar to office especially with simple stuff in word and you can use and save in the Microsoft file formats.
