Just this month I started a PRSA with Zurich and have already paid my first contribution. I'm PAYE and a public servant.

My question is how do I go about claiming the tax relief? I have heard something about having to send the contract certificate to the revenue which sounds very straightforward, but though I've just scoured the Internet I can find no specific instructions. I've also tried to call Revenue but no joy there either. Do I just send on the certificate with a covering letter,or is there some form I need to fill in?

So,if anybody can give me the information I need I will be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

    .

Are you a member of a PS pension scheme?

If so, you can't start a PRSA, but you can do an AVC-PRSA.

Yes. Keep a copy of the cert for yourself, of course.

Thanks so much for getting back. That sounds very straightforward. Should I send it to my local revenue office or would you know if there is a specific address for such correspondence? Thanks again.

    Yes it is an AVC-PRSA.
