In a 3 storey house, all habitable rooms which exit onto the escape stairs must have fire door sets at ground, first and second floor level.

The door set must include door, frame, seal, self closer and fire rated ironmongery.

Bathrooms and store rooms may not need them but most developers put them in simply to match the door style throughout.
