Times must be tough in SEAT and the motor trade. Hardly give scrappage on top of that.

They told me that the scrappage and/or 2.9% finance offer is not available in conjunction with this offer. Having looked at an Ateca, with max discount of €5,100 under the VAT offer, it would seem the standard scrappage and low interest would be a better offer?

It is always too good to be true...give with one hand, take with the other.

Also, I thought VAT on a €40k vehicle would be about €7-8k (not sure how this is calculated though....presume subtract VRT first and the amount left is the vat inclusive price??)

If you have a trade in they will reduce the value of it by the vat amount you are due to save. Vat saving my balls..

"Black Friday offer on at the moment, this is however limited to certain stock (90 cars nationally) and any of the Atecas that are available are diesel 1.6 or 2.0 and either the SE or XC spec, no petrol ones are available on this offer"

So, 1.6 TDI SE Ateca is normally RRP €28950.00 (prob around 500 more for delivery? ) under the VAT offer it comes at €25,077 including discount
