Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Clinical or Counselling Psychology route

I'd really appreciate any opinions. I'm 39, have a PSI accredited psychology degree, and a masters in organisational psychology. I feel disillusioned with the lack of specific roles in the Occ psych area and after much thought, I am thinking of trying to gain relevant experience for either clinical or counselling psychology. I have time spent volunteering with a mental health phone support line and some indirect one to one work experience but that's it. Is it realistic for me to get onto a clinical course if I do a mental health masters and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, if I can get it? Is this a more secure career path in terms of jobs than counselling?

If you google psychology jobs most specify either educational/counselling or clinical training as prerequisite so technically all are equivalent - I however see more clinical jobs advertised. I am surprised to hear your organisational psychology masters didn’t work out that’s very disappointing after I’m sure a lot of work, time and money.
