Probably won't get a better deal imo if you're looking for a 17 inch

Pulled the trigger earlier. It was either that or the 419euro HP in Currys. This has a lot of advantages for just 210eur extra.

Yeah much better CPU and ssd. Cheapest time of year to buy a laptop!

This is showing €749 now. Did you have to enter a code to get it for €629?

I'd like to know what the screen is like. A lot of the mid to low price Dells I looked at in the shops had very poor Full HD screens. Hopefully they've improved them. Generally they aren't IPS screens.

Yes some of their latitudes have dreadful screens.

Was no code needed yesterday in their "pre black friday" sale. There is a code "SAVE15" needed today which drops it down to just over 636euro

Dell had a pre-black Friday thing on till for 2 days ending yesterday 22nd, so that probably explains it. I am hoping they'll still be doing a Black Friday thing....

Thanks for the info folks! I've tried using that code but I'm getting the message "This is a valid coupon code, but there are no matching items currently in your cart."

Are certain items excluded does anyone know?

Seems to apply to all Inspirons I see anyways. Are you going in via Dell.ie and "Shop Black Friday" link?

Ah OK! Sorry I was looking at a slightly different version of the laptop in the OP, seems like that code only applies to the exact version listed in the OP and any of the other laptops in the Black Friday link.

Ended up pulling the trigger on this for 636 instead of the I5, fingers crossed it turns out to be the bargain it looks

Did anybody who ordered this receive it yet? Mine had an ETA of 6/12 but no sign of it yet. I mailed them twice last week and I called them today. Same scripted reply from them all. They called the courier and will have info in 2 days.

Yep I ordered it on the 22nd November and it was delivered on the 1st December. Came from China, tracking was awful, didn't update for ages and then updated to say it was in England and then not again until it arrived.

Ordered on same date. It is in Athlone depot today - hopefully have it by end of week.

Don't suppose there's been more recent coupon codes that might work for this?

you can get 50 off with code SAVE50 until end jan 1

that brings the i5 version down to 699 for the 17 inch

won't be going any cheaper than that b4 black friday week 2018 I'd say.

a better deal maybe is the buy the 15 inch version for 579 with the code

buy an ssd and dvd drive enclosure for 55 euro or so on amazon and stick it in the dvd tray and you have an ssd along with the 1tb hd.

I purchased one of those at the 629euro price - great bang for buck.

    Currys have a good deal on a 15" HP 8th gen i5 for 469euro. 4gb RAM, 1TB HD, Full HD - comes in various colours -> http://www.currys.ie/Product/hp-15bs158sa-156-laptop-silver/346511/401.0.10
