Does the car been scrapped need to be in working order?

Do you have to prove you are the owner of the car? My brother has a car for scrap.

Think that it needs an NCT and tax. Not sure it needs to be driving though.

You also have to own it 3 months or 6 months (depending on the scrappage scheme)

When we bought with a scrappage deal, the car had to have been registered in our name for at least 6 months and it had to be taxed and insured up to the point we handed it over.
    And a valid NCT.

It depends on the terms and conditions of the scrappage deal being offered. Different manufacturers have different criteria.
