Sub €100 Projectors on Amazon

Just having a look into picking up a cheap projector for Christmas. Would mainly be for watching blurays, streamed stuff and the odd bit of PS4 gaming.

Theres a tonne of "never heard of it" brands on Amazon, going for £60/70/80...

My question is, are they a complete waste of money? One of two get very good customer reviews. Lots of people who were expecting rubbish and were pleasantly surprised.

I'm not expecting an image to rival my tv, just something that will do a reasonable job for displaying a few films on a 100" screen.

Any advice, recommendations on this would be great!

You get what you pay for. 500 to 600 euro can get you a very fine 1080p projector these days some even with 3d.

    w1070 from benq for example

Also think about where the sound would be coming from, god forbid the in built projector speaker.

If you have the room you could create a very reasonable cinema feel for under 1000 euro with a real 120" screen.

projector from someone like richer sounds 600

    120" retractable projector screen 200
    https://www.projectorscreen-shop.ie/projection_screen_manual/manual_169/projector_screen_manual_169_119_263x148_cm.html

And then use the 200 left for some sort of sound system.

A 4mX4m room is now a perfectly adequate cinema room.

Thanks for that. Trouble is I have no intention of dropping a grand on a projector setup purely because I don't intend to use it very much. It's just a christmas novelty idea, something a bit different to watch a few films over the holidays and if it's half decent, I'll probably keep using it. If not, up on adverts she goes. I would, and have spent that kind of cash on a TV, but that gets huge use so it's no problem.

Would it be fair to say that these cheap projectors would be so bad as to be unwatchable. Would they like a standard def tv with the backlight setting on very low. For anyone use to a good clear vibrant lcd tv image, would they be complete shít?

Im also looking for a cheap projector but not for showing movies, tv etc. Basically just to project stuff from a laptop, documents, graphs etc. Would only be used approx once a month, would one of these cheap jobs do the trick?
