I would imagine it is the element. Happened to my oven and I googled and found a youtube video showing how to replace. It cost about €30 for the element and took about ten minutes to put it in.

If doing the above be very careful, you don't want an electric shock from an oven!!

I changed an element on a fan oven a few months back. 4 screws to remove a plate (may be corrosion due to heat), 3-5 to secure the element. Pull it out and there's 2 push-on spade connectors to the element.
Turn off the cooker switch and the circuit breaker to make doubly sure.
    Element was about €30
If you have a multimeter, the good element was about 300-400 ohms

If it fails its prob going to be open circuit, i.e way higher. Memory may faulty as to the exact figure

Yes its about 26 ohms for a 2000 watt element. Around 22 ohms for a 2400 watt one. If the element is gone, it will be a much higher reading, or usually reading OL with the element gone open circuit.

I’m not sure where in Dublin if you google appliance repair shop thy prob have parts. I found a video on you tube. You make sure electricity is off preferably at the use board. There are a few screws to take out the cover of the element Inside the oven at the back then two brackets holding element in I took out old one in ten mins took it to the shop and they gave me the right one and it took another ten mins to put it in when I came home. It is an easy job. Element cost around €30. There are loads of videos on YouTube showing how to do it.

In fairness you sound like you haven't a clue how to go about fixing this, the last thing you want to do is get an electric shock from an oven!!

If I was you I would either get someone to fix it for you or get a new one, fitted by the supplier. Better safe then sorry.

If you kill the power, you won't get a shock. They're a simple fix, so no point in scaremongering. OP, ensure you get the correct element to match the model number of the over (usually fount on the inside door sill or rear of unit). They cost in the region of £30 or thereabouts. Most likely the culprit, and definitely worth a DIY repair attempt.

Plenty of YT instructional videos if you are unsure.

Its a matter of opinions and going by the ops posts I think it is not beyond the realm of possiblities that he/she mightn't have the know how to complete the task without causing themselves injury, simple as that really. Far from scaremongering as you put it!

It's seriously no harder or dangerous than changing a plug, given that you turn off the power.

They're open today but you will need the model number. Ring them to make sure they have it. Not D15, but the best I can do !

You have no luck with appliances. Consider becoming Amish
