Change to Eir?

I am no longer in contract with Vodafone and am paying them 45 euro a month for broadband only.

I see Eir is offering broadband with phone for 35 x 6 then 40 x 6 for the first year. 12 month contract. Then it goes up to a whopping 76 euros from month 13.

If I switch and then switch again on month 13 I'll save 90 euro. I've never been with Eir before so would be interested in whether a E7.50 a month saving is worth it? Looking at my usage I'm around 1000 GB per month would this be an issue with Eir?

Eir do have bandwidth usage limits. And their Talk To forum is just littered with complaints about every aspect of them. Are Virginmedia an option?

Unfortunately the area that I am in only has eir resellers. There doesnt appear to be a lot of choice really from price point of view.

I may just stick with what I have since the hassle of having to switch again at the end of the year is not really worth it.

    Big Mistake
    .
Try Sky you may get TV on top of that, Either way be sure they don't charge you money for phone calls.
Changing ISP EVERY year usually saves you some money.

    Eir absolutely isn't worth it.

OK for 90 odd euro saving I think I'll stay with Vodafone for the meantime. Sky were offering a deal a while back which was good but if you have broadband only i.e. no phone number they can't process your order so I was not able to avail of this. They told me to get a phone number which meant tying myself into vodafone for another contract...
