Buying Property from a venture capital company?

Has anybody had any experiences buying from a venture capital company? I know a bank sale can have issues, deeds etc; but is a venture capital straight forward or similar issues, waiting weeks for contracts etc? Gone sale agreed on this property. I have to do 'Know your Client' plus 'Anti Money Laundering' letters vetting to prove myself and source of funds.

Another question; looking at another property(just in case!) which is in receivership, which i presume means a bank sale; are they straight forward?

Thanks in advance. I know second question could be another thread so sorry in advance.
