Looking for a doctor who will prescribe medication for T3 (Armour)

    I'm looking for help to find a doctor who will prescribe medication to replace the T3 in the thyroid. Think it is called Armour. I'm on Eltroxin which just replaces the T4. I live in the North West but I'm willing to travel. I know that Dublin is probably the place where I will find this person. I did go to a complementary integrative Doctor there some years in the Churchtown area but was not happy with the experience. Apart from the T3 there are some other health issues I want support with and an integrative doctor is what I need.

    Maybe ask a mod to move your post to the above thread? It's very helpful and you might even find the information you need by reading a few pages towards the end!

    Dr Wilson in Maynooth is a fantastic thyroid doctor and does prescribe NDT. Give him a call at the Leinster clinic

    I forgot to ask you..what is NDT? you said that Dr. Wilson prescribes it. Is it the Armour?

    Hi NDT is natural dessicated thyroid and armour would be classed as NDT. Armour would be the most expensive brand. Dr Wilson also prescribes Naturethroid and Westhroid. He is a mine of information regarding the thyroid. Well worth a visit .
