01 Focus - loss of power

01 Focus seemed to lose a bit of power and I noticed that there was a low, bassy rhythmic noise coming from the engine.
Before I was able to park up, the engine light began flashing for about 20 seconds, then discontinued flashing.
When I parked there was a bit of a burnt smell.
I didn't actually check the oil level but I topped the oil up only a couple of months ago.
I've recorded a video (below) and you might be able to make out the noise if you have good bass on your speaker, over the engine noise.
I haven't brought it to the mechanic yet, just wanted to post up here in the meantime to see what it might be.
