It sounds like an issue with the window motor. The driver side window gets used more than the others so it's not surprising if that starts failing first.

Does it sound like motor is straining?
Are you close to a mechanic?

Or you can remove the door card and gently tap the motor while pushing the up switch and see if window starts moving back up
If you have side air-bags then don't remove door card, take it to a Ford specialist.

I can feel the electric surge when im pressing the switch... no noises apart from the button click but definitely a power surge..

The window is working 100% until i put it down all the way.. would that not be the regulator?

Possibly a snag in the window regulator cable causing a bind on the motor, triggering the auto down function (used to prevent little fingers getting trapped in window). You would have to pull the door card and check.

Has to be done with care to avoid contamination on the glass, some silicone spray on the rubber slides might help, and possibly on the seals at the top of the door, if it's only sticking at all the way down, while there may be an issue with the motor, or the cables, i'd be more inclined towards the guides being sticky, and overcoming the motor. Had a similar issue a while back on an Isuzu, and the spray was enough to help the window when it was moving, and reduce the sticking when it stopped.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁
