VW Polo back ache

I do a lot of driving. I mainly drive a ford ranger daily and a BMW 3 series.

My wife has a newish VW Polo. Any time I drive the VW Polo my back pains like hell yet never an issue in the other cars.

Any tips or advice please as I like the Polo but my back can't cope :(

    Where does it hurt? High/low?
I assume you have tried adjusting the seat around?
Get a small pillow for lumbar support maybe.

I have had mid range new cars where it has taken a good whilst (days/weeks) to get the seat position "right" with no aches and pains.

Then I got a car with 12 way electric adjustment and that took about 6 weeks to get "right", I jest you not! Good job it has memory... although I think I may have "lost" the exact setting or my (old) body has changed and I find myself fluting about and tweaking the adjustment recently.

I would say persevere with the setting and maybe try a thin cushion or lumbar support if that fails.

I recently contacted my Volkswagen dealer and he said the Polo seat is not as good a build as the Golf chair.

This is a real pity I like the Polo but I cannot tolerate the chair any longer.

And the Golf seat is not as well built as a Passat, but the Polo seat is a dream compared to an Up!

You'd swear the seats got nicer the more expensive the cars got :pac:

Bottom line is I can't drive a VW Polo anymore pain is always excruciating and never an issue in Ford Ranger, BMW 3 series, and Citroen Berlingo

Silly question I know but is the seat adjusted correctly? I looked at a few videos and they all had the same adjustments but I watched one from Recaro that seemed to be a bit more in depth.

The only issue I have with the sport seats on my Golf is the lumbar support. From what I've seen online you're supposed to adjust it until it just touches your back but I find it's too far up my back, whereas the ergonomic chairs at work support my lower back nicely.

Spend some time adjusting the seat. I received a 2016 polo recently as a courtesy car for a few days. I found the seat to be quite hard. i also wasn't too keen on the general layout of the cabin. Found the gear stick to be pretty low, while engaging the hand brake had it very high. Then controls on the door for locks/windows/mirrors where quite a bit away. Put me off'em.
