Doesn't seem to work? Where does it say what to do to get the extra allowance, or how do we activate it? Thanks

In the Techradar article they have links to the promotion.
TunnelBear’s exclusive TechRadar plan offers a far more generous 5GB, 10 times the amount you get if you sign elsewhere.

    and
Setup is easy, thanks to custom clients for iOS, Android, Mac and Windows, as well as a browser extension. TunnelBear supports up to five simultaneous connections, too, so you can mix and match these as required.
While the standard free account restricts you to a horribly limited 500MB of traffic a month, TunnelBear’s special TechRadar plan offers a far more generous 5GB. That gives you many more browsing options, and for instance could allow you to watch 20 minutes of streaming 480p video every day, and still have some browsing time left over.

I signed up with a new account through the Tech Radar link, then verified and can see I only have 500MB also. Something else that needs to be done?

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

You sure it's not 5000mb? That's what is showing in my account, just signed up with the link a few mins ago

You can also get an additional 1Gb by sending them a tweet

I did it on my phone and only got 500mb but I may have already signed up with that email address before.

So I did it on my laptop with a new email address, uninstalled Tunnel Bear, then used the link to download and install it and that worked. I'm now seeing 5500mb.

I'm guessing this is a once off rather than a recurring monthly limit but it's not clear. Is that how the 1GB extra works?
