I read on agri land that Belarus have launched a new tractor with a tier 3 motor but can't sell that motor in the EU till they source a tier 4 motor .
Like what are we at here .
Certain parts of this planet comply to regulations , that cost a bunch of dollars while the rest do what they like .
I feel like we are living in a fish bowl .

I don't write for agri land . But I do end up paying dearly for living in my parish .
    It's all a dictatorship imo.
What do you think melted the ice that ran up your local valley many moons ago .
Well it wasn't motor pollution .

Are you Danny Healy Rae Kerry Cow?

He's not wrong though Tommy it wasn't motor pollution.

Even the maddest of people still have a grain of truth.

Question is how many ice ages and melts have we had since this little blue ball started Tommy?

Europe is becoming a dictatorship , people who argue otherwise are blinded to the future and you just can't change that .I don't have a problem with how people view things but some just can't see the wood from the trees .
Our own government are a establishment and the establishment is a machine that has no face and it is squeezing the people slow into submission slowly and they dont even see it .
That's why the British are leaving and the Spanish are up in arms .
The French will bolt too .it will take time .
It might be 50yrs or 100 yrs but this country will revolt with in again .
Look at the banks .they want plastic money .the revenue want plastic money .you have to enter registered for everything from a radio to a toilet .
There are cameras on every corner and the roads are scanned etc .
You may laughter at me but you will re read this post sometime to find the truth .
We are becoming prisoners in our own parish .
The big brother is watching .
Wait till you will be chipped like a dog , and you will have no choice . Resist and you world will ceast to move .

I would be of the opinion that the EU's approach to this has been seriously flawed and based on bad science. It has simply moved industry/emmissions out of member states to cheaper economies while at the same time massively increasing the cost of power across the bloc,
including Ireland which now has one of the highest energy costs in the EU:(

I watched a documentary on tata motors who could produce the cheapest car in the world . The same price as a motor bike .millions of them .
But you can not use one in the EU .
We are not at the races .
    The Germans are boss

If anyone can't see the wood from the trees around here it seems to me you fit the bill in all respects.

Kerry Cow made a whole series of points and a couple of fairly sound observations.

You can't just attack his writing style and expect us all to believe you for unspecified reasons, we are all far too cute to fall for that kind of carry on.

To be fair your kinda right. Look at all the country's rolled over by wars the last 10/15 years. They all had one thing in common and it wasn't oil. None of them had a central bank. They want control over every country's banking system.

    Interesting read

Agree with some of what you're saying, but if we were only to do what everyone else was doing there'd never be any change.
In this case its mainly an air quality thing that the changes in diesel engines have been focused on. Less smoke is definitely worth the effort and cost. Its well proven that dirty diesel smoke is bad for health.
Any changes made a few thousand miles away will have a negligible impact compared to what we do in this case

Kerry, the reason farmers her a subsidy is so that they can compete on the market and not ruin the environment at the same time.

An Ireland outside the EU would certainly mean the end of payments to farmers over time. We'd be left with maybe 200 farmers in the country, the forum would be much quieter then.

In my opinion, as soon as Carbon Credits became a tradable commodity the entire concept of "Green" economy became a joke.
Find some country in the South Pacific with little or no polluting industry, throw them a hatfull of money, and hey-presto! You are suddenly a non polluting country.

You are correct we are swimming around in a fish bowl and getting (almost) nowhere. Unfortunately there seems to be little we can do about it.

Why don't the government 'underestimate' the number of cattle in the country. You know just conveniently forget to add, say county Cork and Tipp.

Which of his points/observations are sound?

I am disappointed that the mods allow you to attack me personally as I was expressing my view on a topic and did not come on here about my personality .why do you feel the need to bully me ?
You don't know me or anything about my personal life but continue to insult my piont of view about every opinion I have .
    Nasty

Mod note, main reason the mods haven't done anything about it is nobody reported the post. Calm down both of you, attack the post not the man.
