    Hi could anyone tell me what GFL 100.00 MOD means on my house plans ? I presume GFL means Ground Floor Level

    100m OD would normally mean 100 metres above Ordnance Datum.

    I think it's a little unlikely (although perfectly possible) that your ground floor is exactly 100m above sea level. I suspect it's a mislabelling of a site survey based on a TBM (Temporary Benchmark) where the level is deliberately set to 100m and all other points are relative to this.

    Thanks for reply. I'm building a bungalow on a small downwards slope, front to back, so I thought it might have something to do with keeping ground floor level a certain height off the ground to the front in case of water running down the slope

    There's a good chance it has. Read the levels written in the contours on your site map. Then compare these to those noted for the house.

    Also worth noting:

    FGL = Finished Ground Level
    FFL = Finished Floor Level

    MOD = Malin Ordnance Datum

    Previously used datum was Poolbeg which was 2.7m lower than Malin

    What's the best all round fibre cement slate at the moment ? Price, colour guarantee, warranty etc !! I heard mixed reviews about Tegral
