I'm trying to help a friend set this tv to record programs using the timer function ie record say RAY DARCY and go out to pub. I downloaded the manual and to be honest I'm a tad confused.

Does anyone have this model and can explain the method in simple terms?

The usb is in the slot and I have already recorded a current prog but I think clock needs setting as well.

    I call there tmoro.

Go into EPG, navigate to the programme you want to record later and press Record button? Its now highlighted. Go out of EPG. It should then record the programme when it starts.

I finally figured this out and it is as you said but the recording function was configured to start 4 minutes early so I think that was interfering with the actual timed recording. All is good now.
