    Hi,
Studying Part 2 of the AITI.
I am fine with CATCA & VATCA but by heck the TCA97 seems to have no logical flow to it.
Can anyone provide advice who has been through the exams as to tagging methods etc that worked for them?
    Any help appreciated.

I have snapped a sample here S 118 tca, which covers bik. Get the important points, but not everything, otherwise in an exam sitting you'll be lost, sparingly was the term.

You'll also see the remainder of the tagging to the side of the legislation.

I found splitting the legislation between CT and IT worked for me, and then cgt at the top.

Get used to the contents at the front, and the index at the back.

Thanks. Can you write on the tags? Probably stupid question! I interpreted no writing on legislation as no writing on tags also.

Tags can have the section number and summary of section..eg..

    S 118 BIK

    S 819 Residence

That would be the height of it.
If its a chunky piece of legislation get the key words highlighted, as this is easier to point out in an exam.

Some bits you'll get straight away, and the legislation will be straight forward, others like HIER will be spread out over a few sections and a little bit more difficult to track..
