My inset gas fire has died and I need to replace it but the thing is I absolutely hated it in the 1st place so I really don't want to replace it with another gas fire,I would really love a wood/multi fuel stove. The thing is I have a heat recovery unit in the house and from what I've been led to believe is that a wood/multi fuel stove is not an option.....
    A bit of info:
There is a chimney (although until the gas fire is removed I won't know if it's a "real" chimney"!!).

I have a "low level balanced flue" on the outside wall behind where the current gas fire is.

The house is "A" rated with no external vents.

So my question is this......Is another inset gas fire my only option ??? Sorry if this is obvious to everyone else,I just hate the thoughts of having to get another gas fire :(
