    Hello all ,
Am i meant to notify revenue when i change jobs? As far as i was concerned once i gave my new employer my p45 they are the one who register me ?
Im only asking as it would appear that i was not registered with my current employer for all of 2014 and 2015 and after an audit by revenue i have underpaid my taxes due to all my tax credits being transferred to my wife for those years.
    regards
    TOny

Your employer should have done it, but ultimately it is your responsibility to check that your credits etc. are correct.

At this stage, assuming the assessments are correct, all you can ask of Revenue is that they collect the underpayment over the longest or most most convenient period.

That's is the frustrating thing , he keeps saying its all my fault and i should have called revenue to tell them i had changed jobs
Im aware that ultimately it is on me and i will have to pay back revenue. it just as far as i was concerned i could see my tax credits and my tax was being paid on my payslip so i thought all was
