    Hi,

    I am trying to find out when a quote given by a business/ contractor becomes a legally binding contract.

    Is is from the point the quote is given to the customer, or is it when both parties agree that the quote is accepted?

    Many Thanks in advance.

    Quote= Offer

    Quote Accepted= Contract

    There are exceptions as some quotes are invitations to treat etc but in general the above applies

    well if you've both agreed to something based upon a quote then surely that's a verbal contract

    a quote on its own means nothing
