    Hi looking for a bit of advice my daughter is looking for an electric guitar but doesn't know what's good make. Not too expensive

    Pick something she likes the look of. Don't buy the cheapest one. Buy something above that.

    So not the base Yamaha Pacifica 112, but the 112V
    Same with Squier not the cheapest one but the better squier
    Ditto Epiphone. Look at the range and pick something in the middle.

    Used is better value, but you need to know how to weed out the bad ones. (not always easy).
