The laptop I am currently using I got as a refurb from these guys. Only issue I've had is the battery life. The laptop was in perfect condition and like new besides that.

They have a .ie site with euro prices.

Cheers. Did the laptop come in original packaging?

Yep, came in original box. This was just my experience with them. I'm sure more people on here have bought refurbs from them, so maybe get a few more replies before you consider it.

I don't know that much about laptops, but that model seems very old and not very powerful. What games will your 10yr old want to play?
If you want the experts here to check the specs for you, it's better to start a new thread specifically about that. If there is a game they play do a search on 'minimum specifications for ....whatever game'.
Also Black Friday November 24th, all that weekend (from 12 midnight on the Thursday) there will deals on laptops...so do all your research by then. Know what you'd really really like and for what price, and then what you'd settle for.

Recently purchased the 4GB refurb model of this from them for a clients young (6 years old) child.

It was supplied in the original packaging and in as new condition. As previous posters have mentioned it is an older model but ideal for kids using mainly you tube and online based games.

I have purchased many laptops from laptopsdirect and have always been impressed with the service and speed of delivery.

Thanks all for the feedback... to be fair we have a PS4 Pro and Xbox One so high powered games are not the target for this laptop.

it is more for the likes of ROBLOX and YouTube and basic word processing I think this would do the job do you not?

I think it would struggle with Roblox once it gets to any medium or large scale constructions. Processor is terrible and only 2GB RAM
