wifes entitlements for carers allowence

HI all,
my mother-in-law is incapable of living on her own due to illness and has been living with us since January. My wife works full time but its getting on top alot recently and she is wondering of she would be entitled to carers allowance and what she would be entitled to?
Mother-in-law goes home to her house for a night on friday to give us a night to ourselves with our two kids (7&6) but she is shattered by the saturday. Shes dealing with cancer of the marrow and dialysis.
I earn 65k approx p/a
Wife earns approx 25-30k but is will to give it up or at least reduce her hours to 15 p/w

Can anyone tell me what she would be entitled to and would she still get this amount if she was to work for 15hrs p/w

Your wife needs to apply for Carers Benefit, not Allowance.
She can go on Carers leave for up to 104 weeks and her job must be held open for her.
She can still work 15 max per week.
It’s not means tested and is processed very quickly.
