Hyperspin question

    Howdy.
    I'm going to upgrade my MAME cab PC (the one I have is quite old and has started to get a bit unreliable) and I'm considering using Hyperspin.
    I picked up an i3 3.3Ghz desktop with 4GB RAM for 90 yo-yos and I have a SlikStik arcade controller (way back from when I ran a MAME site and got it as advertising payment from SlikStik).
    Is it difficult to re-program the key mappings on Hyperspin (I'm thinking of trying to get a prebuilt image from the net) ?
    I could reprogram the SlikStik as it's got an IPac keyboard controller in it, but I'd rather not go down that route if possible.
    Anyhoo - any info anybody has would be great !
    I'm also open to suggestions !
