basically we have bought a new build house and in the plans and on the brochure drawings there is a wall between the front driveways.
The builder/developer has now said they have changed their minds and are putting hedging between the driveways.
Not too happy about it and wondering what is the best approach to object!
    Thanks

Advise them you are not happy about the change which they have not offered a viable reason for, and should they not be willing to provide what you original agreed to purchase then advise them you will have to refer to your solicitor.

The brochure is for illustration only. There will be a small note stating that the developer has the right to change things.

Once they build a proper wall around the rear garden and side of the house I wouldn't be too fussed about a hedge at the front between driveways

i'm glad you are not too fussed, thats really helped me out!

the walls are in the brochure but also in the planning permission plans submitted to council. it says a mason/rendered wall between front of houses to mark boundary. part of the plans also stipulated a fenced in green/play area to the front of houses which is being put in minus the safety fence.
can a builder just decide not to build an estate the way planning approved so?? is it basically just let solicitors deal with it or is there anything that can be done by contacting council planning dept?

You can send an email to the Planning Enforcement Section of the council outlining these issues, and they will investigate it to see if they are required or not.
