It is the best one and I highly recommend it.

However the price is high, wait for the Black Friday sales. I got mine for £140 a year and a half ago in a prime sale.

Sorry for the stupid question but what is the advantage of this over using Peel on a phone/tablet?

I find using a phone/tablet to control the TV to be a terrible user experience. Needing to unlock your phone, launch an app and mess around with the buttons on the app just to change a channel or turn up the sound, no thanks.

IMO a physical remote is much easier to use and this one is the best I've ever used.

Note that this harmony remote also comes with a hub and you can also use the app on your phone to control TV. Beyond using the app for setup, I never use it as using the actual remote is so much easier.

BTW these Harmony hubs, also work with Google Home and Alexa for voice control of your TV, e.g.

    "Hey google, turn tv on"

Though the majority of time it is much easier to use the physical remote. It also integrates with other home automation tech such as Hue smart lights and smart plugs.

Thanks BK, Will wait it out yet.

Its on shopping list but will wait till BF and see if deal improves,

It wouldn't be going cheaper as they are now replacing hubs FOC anyways?

The Ultimate is excellent too. Picked up one like this recently for a song on eBay. Excellent upgrade to my old Logitech Harmony Smart Control setup.

I'd put a camelcamelcamel price watch on it too. And keep an eye out in the Home Automation forum Bargain Thread.

The hub thing is a different, older product.

Got one just after midnight from the amazon warehouse for 100GBP. Total impulse buy but I'm sure it'll be useful.

You're better off getting the Amazon Dot with it for an extra 10 pounds even just to flog it later.

Was about to do the same till I found that the Xaomi Yeelights are not supported.

How do you find using this remote with it having number buttons on it? I watch Sky alot and just trying to figure out how easy it is to flick through the stations without the physical buttons.

Would it control an Nvidia Shield and Xbox One S?

You scroll to the right and the numbers show on the remote screen. You can also add your favourite channels and by pressing the channel icon it'll switch to that one.

I'll add photos in a bit.

Products like this is why I hate amazon and why camelcamelcamel was invented. It drops to 130/140 twice yearly every year. I paid 133 for it Nov 2016. It is a great remote though.
