I'm setting out to build a bungalow by direct labour and currently at purchasing of site stage. Planning has been approved but my architect is not registered to sign off on mortgage stage payments so I need to employ an engineer. Is there a list of registered engineers I can look up or has anyone any recommendations for engineeers in the Waterford area.

    Apologies to deflect:
    1. If your "architect" is not registered, then he / she is not an 'architect'. ('Architect' is a protected title. Registered Architects should be able to sign off on mortgage stage payments).
    2. It sounds like you are purchasing a site, with planning permission granted. Check the conditions of the planning permission. The grant may apply to the Planning Applicants, and the planning permission cannot be transferred to another party.
    3. Maybe try the golden pages or google to look up Engineers.
