Does anyone know if you can get a cuban visa whilst in another country. The requirements here are a return ticket and 2 nights accomodation. We are flying to Costa Rica on the 29th and would love to fly over to Cuba whilst out there but unsure if we can secure a visa from San Jose with Irish Passports.
    Thanks in advance.

I've read through loads of posts but am still unsure

If we go to the Cuban Embassy on Pearse Street, will we get our visas that day?

Looking forward to going but would be great to get this out of the way

    Hi everyone,

It would be a great help if someone could help me with this.

I am travelling to CUBA next Monday the 1st of July and need to get a visa. I am travelling with Virgin Atlantic and stopping off at Gatwick Airport.

Is it possible to get a visa in London?

    Thank you in advance.

Anyone has been to Cuba before and do we need a visa or we can get one on arrival/on the plane? My friend was there and he didn’t apply for a visa but filled in a tourist card on the plane before landing.

Checked online and it says you can get a tourist card if you flight with Air Canada but I’m with American Airlines.

Go to the embassy on Pearse street and get the tourist card there.

American Airlines fly directly into Cuba?

I always thought that US airlines didn't do this?

They do from outside the US. For example SouthWest have routes to Cuba from Puerto Rico and Mexico, American and United have routes from Canada and Mexico.

I️ flight with AA directly from Miami.

After I️ paid for a visa online. I️ called AA and they said I️ won’t be able to use the visa which I️ have just applied in ireland. I️ need to apply for a tourist card at the airport for AA passengers only. It costs 75 dollars. You need that card to board a flight to Cuba with AA. They don’t except visa from other Cuban Embassies. This is so crazy. I️ will need to call the embassy tomorrow to confirm this.

Unfortunately you cannot travel from the US to Cuba for tourism. You'll need to take another route.

    What do you mean?

I got my tickets confirmed with AA.

You can fly to Cuba from the US but it's heavily restricted: https://cu.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/traveling-to-cuba/

Basically, going for tourism only isn't allowed, you need to satisfy one of the categories as a reason going to Cuba.

I think that’s just for US citizens.

I'm not so sure, I think it's for anyone flying in from the US
