I'm trying to get into cycling but don't want to invest too much. Looking for a bike for about €300. I know about second hand bikes on adverts but don't know what to look for. I'm 6ft tall. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'd be looking second hand at that money, either the cycling adverts here or usedbikes.ie

New you're in halfords territory or better would be some of the Triban bikes on Decathlon.ie

Is bike to work scheme an option ?

Look for a size 56cm or equivalent with as much detail listed as possible, and bear in mind that most people greatly overvalue their bikes.

Going from 300 to 500 should make a massive difference if you can avoid the overpriced crap.

You want one that is well used and maintained e.g. by club cyclist or almost shop fresh.

There's a FB group called Cycling Buy & Sell Ireland that's decent of you can't find something on adverts subforum, adverts.ie or done steal.
