Hi,
Myself and my partner would like to apply for a mortgage but I’m worried about my credit history. I used to live in the UK and had quite a lot of debt with some missed payments. I also took out a lot of payday loans at one point. I’ve been living in Ireland for a year now with a steady job and have paid off all my debts. Will the Irish banks check my credit history in the UK? I’m really worried about the payday loans coming back to bite me as I’ve heard of people being declined for mortgages because of them.
