Soundproofing internal party wall

I live in a terraced house and the neighbors next door on one side have 3 'lively' kids. Our sitting room gets a lot of impact noise from them, aswell as some shouting etc whenever that occurs.

The room runs from the front to the back of the house as the dividing wall between front and back rooms was knocked, so soundproofing would have to be across 2 moderately sized walls.

Is this costly to do? I've done a bit of online research but get a bit bamboozled with the technicalities of it.

Have you decided what you are going to do?
I'm in a similar situation and I'm thinking of just replacing the standard plasterboard on the party wall with the think insulation backed stuff. Hopefully it will make some kind of difference

Didn;t do anything in the end cos most of the sounds from next door are impact noises, so not much you can do to fully block these out apparently.

Just have to wait til the kids grow up a bit and stop being mentalers :(
